Established in 1962 as a non-trading branch of Parke-Davis & Company, USA, the company evolved into Parke-Davis & Co. (Nig.) Ltd. by 1969 before rebranding to Pharma-Deko Plc.
The Nigerian Enterprises Promotion Decree of 1972 prompted the sales of 40% of the shares of the company to Nigerians, and by 1977, the company took over the importation and distribution of its products.
The company assumed the name Pharma-deko in 1980. Pharma-deko Plc operates across three key segments: pharmaceuticals, consumer products, and contract manufacturing for pharmaceuticals and FMCG products for third parties.
