Mr. Olugbenga Ladipo

Managing Director

Olugbenga Ladipo is the managing director of Academy Press Plc, a leading printing company that is listed on the Nigerian stock market. He has held the position for nearly 20 years, during which time the company has sustained its enviable position and witnessed appreciable growth. He is a qualified accountant and a graduate of accountancy and finance. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

Mr. Ladipo made his mark as a thoroughbred accounting professional at one of the top practising firms, Deloitte & Touche (formerly Akintola Williams Deloitte). After his service in the firm, he obtained his practising license in 1993 to begin his practice, Adedoyin, Ladipo & Co. (Chartered Accountants).

He later crossed to the food and beverage industry through the Nigerian Bottling Company (bottlers of Coca-Cola products), where he worked from 1992 to 1998. As a leading member of the audit and finance team, he contributed to several reforms that the company engaged in during that period. Prior to this, he had stints with the Lagos State Ministry of Finance, the United Bank for Africa Plc, and UAC of Nigeria Plc.

He joined Academy Press Plc as Head of Accounts in 1998, with over ten years’ post-qualification professional experience. He was elevated to the Board in 2004 as executive director, finance and admin., and appointed managing director in 2006. He has assisted in repositioning the financial and operational functions of Academy Press to meet modern-day challenges. Mr. Ladipo has gone through several trainings in management and leadership, both locally and abroad, including the Lagos Business School and Crestcom International (USA trainers on leadership). He has also facilitated several mentoring initiatives in associated bodies as well as through several invitations.
