ABOUT

Monier Construction Company (Nigeria) Limited (MCC) is one of Nigeria’s longest-standing construction and civil engineering firms. The company was founded in 1955 and officially incorporated as a building and civil engineering contractor in 1957.

Originally established as a German-owned company, MCC has since transitioned into full Nigerian ownership, a shift that reflects the country’s drive for local participation in major industries.

From its inception, MCC has been driven by a clear mission: to deliver quality construction projects on time and to specification while leveraging cost-efficient and environmentally responsible technologies. Its vision is to remain a leading name in Nigeria’s construction sector, a goal supported by its experienced leadership team, skilled workforce, and modern equipment base. Decades of operation have given the company a reputation for reliability, financial stability, and an ability to execute both large and complex projects.

The company’s scope of work covers a wide range of construction activities. Over the years, MCC has delivered some of the most significant infrastructure projects in Nigeria’s South South, South East, and Niger Delta regions, responsible for the reconstruction of Ken Saro-Wiwa Road, the rehabilitation of NNPC access roads, and major infrastructure development projects in Port Harcourt’s GRA Phase VIII. The company has also handled the dualisation of Nkpoghu Road, the construction of the Nkpoghu Creek Bridge, and several erosion control projects in Anambra State supported by the World Bank.
