Established in 1944, May & Baker Nigeria Plc is Nigeria’s first pharmaceutical company. It operates through two key segments: pharmaceuticals and consumer goods.
The company’s state-of-the-art Pharma Centre in Ota spans 14,000 m² and includes extensive facilities such as warehouses, solid and liquid manufacturing lines, packaging halls, and quality assurance labs. It boasts an annual production capacity of 6 billion tablets and 37.5 million bottles of liquid formulations. Across other operations, including Ota and Ikeja beverage lines, the total fixed capacity exceeds 6.5 billion tablets and 56.5 million bottles per year.
The company sold its Mimee instant noodle brand to Dufil in 2018. May & Baker launched seven new fast-moving products in 2024 towards addressing evolving consumer needs.
